Sometimes "package deals" force you to buy things you don’t need though. You really just wanted the perfume but couldn’t resist the package deal with free body lotion and Christmas ornament. Did you need them? No. Will you use them? Maybe. Could you have saved money purchasing your perfume separately? Yes.

However, when it comes to Disneyland you’ll probably want everything a package deal has to offer. They’re usually a good value and make planning your vacation easier.

Note: If you're looking for a Disney all inclusive vacation, this is as close as you'll get. There are no all-inclusive hotels at Disneyland. If that's important to you, try Disneyworld or a Disney Cruise. Or try a different type of all inclusive vacation.

What to Look For

• Free Stuff. In addition to overall savings, packages may also offer things like 1 or 2 free nights at your hotel, gift cards, early entry to the park, free character breakfasts, autograph books, or other souvenirs.

• Know What Things Cost Separately. Packages usually save you money but check prices separately so you know:
  1. If you’re saving, and
  2. If it may make sense to purchase separately.
  For instance, you may get a senior discount at a hotel not available through a package. So book the hotel individually, but buy your airfare, Parkhopper tickets, and car as a package.

• Know Your Current Choices

  Disneyland deals come in lots of flavors and they change frequently. Make sure you're aware of your choices. • Consult a Disneyland Expert:
  • FunFamilyFavorites.com specializes in ParkHopper tickets. If you have specific questions, they're helpful and responsive over email.

  • CityPass offers a 30% discount if you buy tickets to Disneyland plus other attractions. The CityPass includes:
    • A 3-Day Park Hopper to Disneyland and California Adventure
    • A one-day ticket to Universal Studios Hollywood
    • A one-day ticket to SeaWorld San Diego
    • A one-day ticket to your choice of either the San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.
    So if you were buying an adult 3-day Parkhopper ticket, you could buy a CityPass for another $75 and get tickets to Universal Studios, SeaWorld, AND the San Diego Zoo. Normally those 3 places would cost you $175 so I call that a bargain.
