If you're traveling with a larger group you may want to rent a home.
Stock the fridge, spread out, let the kids take a quiet nap, enjoy
yourselves. Many of these rental homes sleep 9 or more, so for the price of a hotel you basically get 3 rooms plus amenities. Many are walkable to Disneyland.
I've had good luck using a website called VRBO.com, which stands for Vacation Rentals By Owner. These are homes or condos for rent by the individual home owner; they're not hotels or timeshares. You can see photos of the places, call the owner directly, and even read reviews from past guests.
Here's are a few of the top-rated VRBO rentals close to Disneyland.
Expect to pay a cleaning fee in addition to the nightly
rate. A refundable deposit may also be added.
This place has a published rate of $209/night. This is the total for 4 nights.
As you can see, renting a house or condo is a way better deal than a hotel. You're getting basically the equivalent of 2 hotel rooms plus a kitchen and yard.
If you can split a place with another family, it's that much more reasonable.
