Disneyland Hotel Discount. You’re going to Disneyland, woohoo! By now you’ve realized things can get expensive though. A little discount never hurts. If you have your eye on a particular hotel, here are some tips for getting a better rate.

Costco

Costco

Costco is offering a deal right now!  Get a 3rd or 4th night FREE when you book a “Good Neighbor Hotel”.  These hotels include:

  • Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel
  • Anabella Hotel
  • Anaheim Marriott Hotel
  • Anaheim Marriott Suites
  • Embassy Suites North
  • Staybridge Suites

You’ll need to buy your Parkhopper tickets through them too (a 3-Day pass or longer).  You’ll also get:

  • Disney Premium Character Dining – choice of one breakfast, lunch or dinner (one per person, per stay) – a value of $45 per adult and $22 per child (ages 3 to 9)
  • A free 5×7 photo through Disney’s PhotoPass Service
  • A discount card for savings at restaurants and shops around Disneyland
  • Collectible Disney pin with matching luggage tag and lanyard (one per person)

Book online or call Costco Travel at 1-877-849-2730.

Rent a House or COndo

How would you like to watch Disneyland fireworks from your own backyard pool

Renting a house or condo is a way better deal than a hotel. You’ll get:

  • Multiple bedrooms
  • Multiple bathrooms
  • A kitchen, enabling you to save money by cooking or BBQing
  • A backyard, possibly with a pool
  • Laundry facilities

Some places are even within walking distance to Disneyland so you’ll save on parking.

For even more bang for your buck, rent a house with another family!

AAA (American Automobile Association)

Call your hotel, find out the standard room rate, and then ask if they offer a discount for AAA members. AAA discounts are usually around 10% per night, so if your hotel is $150/night and you’re staying 5 nights, that would mean a savings of $75. Plus you’ll probably get discounts on surrounding restaurants as well. So even if you’re not currently a AAA member, it may be worth it to become one.

Also, sometimes they offer specific Disneyland travel packages.  For example, they had one that ended Sept. 5, 2016 where if you booked a 3-night hotel and a 3-Day Park Hopper, they’d give you a $100 voucher to spend on your next trip anywhere.  Plus they’d give you a tote bag and discounts on local restaurants.

Book Online

Booking online sounds easy but there are so many discount travel websites, it’s hard to know which to choose.

I like Hotels.com. If you book 10 nights with them, you get one free.  And that does not have to be 10 nights in a row; you accrue them over time.  Plus their website is easy to use and offers a lot of info about the hotels in an organized way.

AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)

aarp

If you’re 50 or older, ask your hotel if they offer AARP discounts. Or check their website– they often have 30% off sales on good hotels.

2 More Tips for Getting Your Disneyland Hotel Discount

  1. Call your hotel and ask for their best rate. This may sound silly but sometimes their best prices aren’t advertised. And if your dates are flexible, tell them. They may be able to find an even better price.
  2. When you arrive: That day or the day before you arrive, call your hotel and ask if their current rate is lower than the one you’re paying. If it is they may reduce your rate.

Welcome!
